In this month’s Vibrant Health series, we got to catch up with one of our Co-Presidents, Paige Parker. Aside from being one half of our fearless leadership team, Paige is a health enthusiast, mother of two teenagers, and a self-proclaimed smoothie queen. 2. What does health mean to you?
Health is truly at the center of everything I do. It means waking up with boundless energy ready to conquer the day. It means being able to juggle my business, my friends, and my family. It means setting a good example for my children so that they can live the best life possible. Without health, you have nothing.
3. What motivates you to prioritize your health?
Honestly, I’ve always been in the health and wellness business. I love taking care of myself from the inside out. My Mother’s recent medical challenges have motivated me to prioritize my health more intentionally. Understanding that diabetes and heart disease runs on my Mother’s side of the family, I have changed my diet and am obsessively proactive with food choices.
4. What makes you unique?
I’m an entrepreneur. I work extremely hard and have a 200% commitment value.
5. If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
6. What is the intention or goal you have for yourself for 2020?
Family means so much to me. My goal is to spend more time investing in family and friends this year.
7. What’s a day in the life of your job look like for you and/or the part you love most?
That’s a tough question! Every day comes with unique challenges, but that’s why I love it. I usually start my day with a quick workout and a smoothie (lately, I’ve been walking my neighborhood). Then it’s straight to work, checking emails, ensuring our stock levels are adequate, and delivery schedules are on time, and checking in with our team to ensure we’re on pace to meet all of our goals. Our business is a very complex ecosystem, with many moving parts. I love seeing all of our hard work come to fruition through the success of our team.
8. What do you do each day to set yourself up for success?
I find that I love to wake up early and give myself time to center and feel content before I start my day. I wake up at 5:30 am, work out every morning and start the day with a healthy smoothie (using Vibrant Health nutritional superfoods, of course). This routine, and the time I give to myself every morning, sets me up for a successful day.
9. What’s the biggest lesson you learned in 2019, personally or professionally?
There are no mistakes. Everything that happens is in divine order to make you a better person.
10. Favorite healthy snacks to fuel your workday?
I usually don’t eat before exercising. If I did, it would be an apple. After my workout, I’ll have a VH smoothie.
