15 Vegan-Friendly Winter Recipes Made with Maple Syrup
National Maple Syrup Day is December 17th — a day dedicated to anything and everything maple syrup. Crafted from the sap of tapped sugar maple trees, pure maple syrup has been touted for its health benefits — particularly its rich source of antioxidants.
Maple syrup is a natural sweetener, making it a favorite for incorporating into baked goods, dressings and of course topping your pancakes and waffles. And unlike its counterpart honey, maple syrup is 100% vegan — making it a go-to way to sweeten up all your plant-based recipes.
We’re a big fan of maple syrup over here at Vibrant Health! We love including it in many of our recipes and we even incorporate organic maple sugar powder in our Vibrant Cleanse powder for a touch of sweetness.
Here are some great uses for maple syrup:
- Mix in with homemade granola or granola bars
- Drizzle on top of oatmeal
- Mix in with salad dressings
- Use as a natural sweetener in cookies and other baked goods
- Top pancakes, waffles and baked breads
- Drizzle on roasted vegetables
- Top on baked sweet potatoes with cinnamon
- Coat roasted nuts
This week on the Vibrant Health blog, we wanted to share a roundup of 15 winter recipes that incorporate this superstar ingredient!
