As the weather warms up, we’re all about adding more raw veggies into our diet. And with May being National Salad Month, we can’t get enough of those green bowls. Not only are salads delicious, but they’re also packed with good-for-you nutrients — and even just one cup of leafy greens a day may decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease. Win, win!  

If you haven’t tried making your salad in a jar yet, you’ll want to get in on this trend. It’s great for meal-prep, and you can make ahead the night before by layering all the ingredients in a mason jar and then popping in the fridge. Helpful tip: Add your dressing to the bottom so the other ingredients don’t get soggy, followed by sturdy produce, softer produce, protein, cheese/nuts/seeds and then finally your greens.
