4 Earthy Springtime Craft Ideas to Bloom Your Creativity

This March, our Vibrant Health team is all about sharing ways to “Let Your Health Bloom.” With it being National Crafting Month, it’s also the perfect time to flex your creative muscle — and it’s good for you too. After all, studies show that being creative can have a positive impact on one’s happiness and overall well-being. This month on the Vibrant Health blog we’re sharing four earth-inspired springtime craft ideas to bloom your creativity this season!

4 Simple DIY Spring Craft Ideas (Inspired by Nature)

  1.  Create Your Own Egg Carton Herb Garden

  2. Make a Simple Seasonal Green Wreath

  3. Paint Spring-Themed Rocks

  4. Create a DIY Spring Glass Jar Terrarium

1. Create Your Own Egg Carton Herb Garden

While it’s still not quite warm enough to plant seeds in your garden, you can get a head start by growing seedlings indoors! Using recycled egg cartons, soil and a variety of seeds, this earthy craft is a wonderful way to try your hand at gardening. And if you have kids, they can get in on the fun too — by helping plant the seeds and even decorating their own egg cartons with paint or markers!

Start small with easy-to-grow herbs like oregano, mint and parsley, which you can then transfer outdoors as they grow/once the weather is warm enough.

What you’ll need: Egg carton, scissors, potting soil, seeds of choice, water, spray bottle

2. Make a Simple Seasonal Green Wreath

Do you still have your holiday wreath hanging on your door? It’s time to finally take it down and give it a spring refresh! While there aren’t many flowers in bloom quite yet, this simple Eucalyptus Wreath will add a pop of green to your space — helping you welcome spring with open arms.

What you’ll need: Eucalyptus trimmings, scotch tape, embroidery hoop

3. Paint Spring-Themed Rocks

Rock painting is the perfect craft idea for spring — great for kids and adults alike! All you need are some basic art supplies and rocks, and you can let your imagination run wild from there. The design options are endless for springtime — from colorful butterflies and rainbows to Easter eggs and seasonal flowers.

4. Create a DIY Spring Glass Jar Terrarium

Succulents are beautiful and low-maintenance — making them the perfect way to add some nature into your home for the spring season. Take your succulent game to the next level by creating your own terrarium (a mini contained garden). The best part about this craft? It’s made with simple items found in and around your house like glass jars, small rocks, and soil.

What you’ll need: Glass jars, small rocks, dirt/sand, succulents
